a friend recently told me that we are always more critical of ourselves than how others see us. personally, i hope that’s true. there’s a difference between being humble and self-deprecation. I’ve understood that for awhile now, but I am still learning to practice it.

so i’m going to put more weight onto the meaning behind my friend’s words this year. 2016 gave both highs and lows (lows that still sting), but this is the time to create. to let our voices be heard. I’d love to create as much as possible in 2017 - alongside many others who want make films, write stories, and capture feelings. I’m here (finally). I’m ready to shout out.
